What a perfect irony.
A couple of us had tried to form shapes with our fingers and take pictures of the sky through them. They could have ended up on FAILBlog. Only one person’s fingers looked decent in the shoot. (I’m so not posting the finger shots.)
Here’s the irony: the failed shots came from the pianists.
Surprised? It’s a myth that pianists have nicer fingers. Elegant or even stately hands maybe, because of the longer fingers. But look closer and you’ll realize that all those hours of practice will have taken a toll on the fingers. Shorter nails, perhaps even tubbier/stubbier tips.
I liken it to ballerinas having perfect poise and beautiful limbs. Just don’t look at their feet.
So much for having pianist’s hands. Bring on the hand cream!
