I will revert

Everytime someone says they’ll revert (to an email) after lunch, I come back fully expecting to see green frogs hoping around.

For the record, the Oxford dictionary says revert is a verb that means return to. As a noun, revert is someone who has converted to the Islamic faith.

So if you mean to say you’ll reply after lunch, just use reply or respond. Not revert. *ribbit*
